The Scarborough Chapter of Professional Engineers of Ontario is organizing its 6th Annual Mechatronics competition. The Mechatronics competition is designed for Grade 9-12 students, attending Scarborough High Schools or residing in Scarborough, interested in exploring science and engineering and requires applying concepts from different fields of engineering.
This year, the junior teams (Grade 9-10) will be building an electrical crane system to test the heaviest weight it can carry, exploring concepts of mechanical construction and torque vs speed.
The senior teams (Grade 11-12) will be building a weather station with Internet of Things (IoT), introducing them to the concept of IoT.

When: Saturday November 23, 2019 Saturday (Registration deadline November 5, 2019)
Where: CICS, 2330 Midland Ave, Scarborough, ON MAP

This year we will be hosting two (2) workshop events. You are welcome to attend if you require additional assistance with your project. Registration for these workshops will be made available after the registration deadline.
The workshops will be held at the same location as the main event, at CICS, 2330 Midland Ave, Scarborough, ON MAP
