Mechatronics Contest

The Scarborough Chapter of Professional Engineers of Ontario is organizing its 6th Annual Mechatronics competition. The Mechatronics competition is designed for Grade 9-12 students, attending Scarborough High Schools or residing in Scarborough, interested in exploring science and engineering and requires applying concepts from different fields of engineering.

This year, the junior teams (Grade 9-10) will be building an electrical crane system to test the heaviest weight it can carry, exploring concepts of mechanical construction and torque vs speed.

The senior teams (Grade 11-12) will be building a weather station with  Internet of Things (IoT), introducing them to the concept of IoT.
