Mechatronics Contest

Scarborough Chapter of Professional Engineers of Ontario is continuing in the 5th year of a contest designed for Scarborough high school students (Grades 9 to 12) called “Mechatronics Contest”. This exciting contest involves the new and upcoming area of engineering known as Mechatronics (a multi-disciplinary field of engineering).

The contest will be conducted into two groups:

Juniors: Grade 9-10

Seniors: Grade 11-12

When: November 17, 2018 Saturday (Registration deadline November 1, 2018)

Where: 151 Burrows Hall Blvd, Scarborough ON MAP

Steps to be followed by the participants:

➢ Register online -> PEOSC will provide a program
➢ Debug the given program -> PEOSC will provide components
➢ Build the Car and bring it to the competition venue
➢ Confirm the Registration-> Answer the Judges questions
➢ Run the car and win the race

Important Information
  • Registration: Closed
  • Students MUST use the program and Arduino Uno Board provided to control the motor
  • Follow the link for Questions and Answers.
  • Parents, teachers and friends, are welcome and encouraged to watch and cheer!

Prizes: (in 2 levels – Junior and Senior)          

  • Winning Team: 3 prizes
  • Judges Team: 3 prizes
