About the Presenter: Javeed Ahmed Khan is an Operational TechnologyJAK Consultant at K Sustainable Energy Consultants Inc., and also works as an adjunct Professor at Humber College’s School of Applied Technology (SAT).  Javeed received his Ph.D.  from Anna University, India in Electrical Engineering and he is a Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng).  He is also a Senior Member of IEEE.   His research interests are Artificial Intelligence (AI), Progressive and Accessible Renewable Energy (Futuristic Energy Models), Interoperability for Microgrids, Smart Cities with Industry 4.0 and Electrical Machines and Drives.  He has 10+ years of career in academia and R&D consulting around the globe.

Synopsis of the Topic: This presentation is an effort in bringing awareness on the necessity of energy/power security with respect to engineering and economic perspectives over the next 10 to 15 years for the world in general and Canada in particular.  This presentation describes the importance of shift from conventional power generation technologies to futuristic power generation technologies without affecting the economy or minimizing the transition impact to the economy.
