7:00 p.m.  Special Presentation on PEO Practice Evaluation and Knowledge (PEAK): PEO’s PEAK program is an information gathering tool to help ensure PEO has sufficient information on licence holder’s practices to effectively carry out its role as the regulator of the profession. It also gauges the professional knowledge activities of licence holders. This seminar will provide a comprehensive overview of the PEAK program, including what PEO licence holders need to do to complete the program.

You will learn:

- Why PEO is implementing the PEAK program
- An overview of the three PEAK program elements (practice evaluation questionnaire, continuing knowledge declaration, online ethics module)
- How to comply with the program as both a practicing and non-practicing licence holder

About the Presenter: Bernard Ennis P. Eng. is the Director of Policy andBE Professional Affairs at PEO. After graduating from the University of Toronto with a BASc in mechanical engineering he worked for 25 years in design, research and project management in both the industrial and consulting sectors. In his current position he is responsible for directing PEO regulatory policy development activities, identifying policy change opportunities, researching and writing about policy issues, and advancing policy objectives by engaging with key stakeholders and public servants. Mr. Ennis is also responsible for administering PEO activities related to establishing and developing standards of practice for professional engineering.

Scarborough Chapter Board Election 2017

All officers and executives will be elected at the Annual General Meeting. According with the chapter By-Laws, Section 8, the chapter board consists of:

- Four elected officers – Chair, Vice Chair, Treasurer and Secretary

- The immediate Past Chair – not elected

- Four elected executives.
