About the Presenter:

Mr. N. Asogan graduated in Mechanical Engineering from Sri Lanka.  He worked in ship building/repair industries in Sri Lanka and Cameroon, in diesel power generation in Qatar, and Commercial Building maintenance and upgrade projects in Canada. 

Currently, Asogan is working  free lance on residential and commercial solar power/solar heating projects, mechanical engineering design for building permits for new residential constructions, home inspections assisting home buyers to assess condition and energy efficiency of the house. He is passionate about energy conservation, saving the environment for future generation.

Asogan is a long standing volunteer with PEO Scarborough Chapter occupying various positions in the BOE as Executive, Secretary, Vice Chair, Chair, and Past Chair. 

Synopsis of the Topic: Energy conservation at home is to reduce energy consumption, at the same or better living conditions in the house. Energy conservation reduces cost of energy services, saves money, better environmental quality, and reduces depletion fossil fuels.  

On the average about 30% of energy we pay for is wasted. How to reduce this waste and save money and our environment?

This seminar is about how to reduce waste of energy, monitoring energy usage, possible incentives and more.
