About the Presenter:

Dave Richardson, P.Eng., is a Senior Project Manager in the Transportation Planning Department and Partner of MMM Group, has over 40 years of experience in the area of transportation planning and engineering. He is an avid cyclist, and has substantial experience in developing bicycle policy guidelines, standards and a wide range of on-street bicycle facilities, and served as the Project Manager for Ontario Traffic Manual Book 18: cycling Facilities. Dave is also the recipient of the "best traffic engineering paper" award for "Bikeway Traffic Control Guidelines" which was presented at the 1998 Annual Meeting of the Institute of Transportation Engineers. 

Synopsis of the Topic: The presentation will provide an interesting and entertaining perspective on bike facilities, cycling myths and a pictorial overview of how bicycle design features have been applied in Ontario, across Canada and around the world.
