Arrive at Scarborough YMCA

 On this tour you will be visiting the Sir Adam Beck 2 Generating Station (SAB 2) which is the largest hydroelectric generating station in Ontario. In the presentation you will learn about Ontario Power Generation’s operations in Ontario and discuss the recently completed Niagara Tunnel Project. Following the presentation you will visit the public tour area at SAB 2 which overlooks the generation floor.


The fun is not over yet, as the second part of the field trip includes a tour of the Ravine Vineyard Historic Estate Winery. Here you can explore the fascinating history of this beautiful family run winery. Wander the Upper Farm and discover the Lowrey Family who has farmed the land for over a century. Taste our small batch, ultra premium wines while you learn about the terrain, the buildings, the family and their remarkable connection on this one of a kind tour.
