About the Presenters:

Amuthan Krishnathas P.Eng., P.M.P.: Amuthan is currently working at R.V. Anderson Associates Limited as the Transportation Group Staff Manager. He is a senior associate of the firm and possesses over 25 years of experience in designing trails, roads, highways, toll highways, interchanges, railways, taxiways, runways and grade separations. He is a registered professional engineer with PEO and a registered project management professional. He also serves as a member of the Ontario Public Works Association.

 

Rooban Markandu M.Eng., P.Eng.:Rooban is currently working as a Project Engineer with the Transportation Group of R.V. Anderson Associates Limited. He is an associate of the firm and possesses over 15 years of experience in civil, transportation, municipal, and geotechnical engineering in Singapore, Sri Lanka and Canada. Over the past several years he has focused on designing a variety of large transportation engineering projects. He has extensive experience and knowledge in the computer aided design of roads and sewers using software .

Rene Siguenza, P.Eng.:Rene is currently working as a Project Engineer with the Transportation/Municipal Group at R.V. Anderson Associates Limited. He has 5 years of experience in civil, transportation and municipal projects in Canada. During the past 5 years Rene has been involved in the design of a variety of transportation and municipal projects including sewer, watermain, road and rail design. He has extensive experience and knowledge in the use of computer aided design software, such as: Autocad, Microstation, Civil 3D, Inroads, etc. for the design of roads, sewers, watermains and rail projects.  

 


Synopsis of the Topic: Many people admit that there is a need for the improvement of our roads. There are many road construction projects completed every year throughout Ontario. However, the need for the improvement is increasing day by day.

Are we heading in the right direction?
